When a form is issued
If you earn $600 or more in a US tax year, the IRS requires AuraOne to file a Form 1099-NEC and send you a copy.
Why a W-9 is required
Your W-9 states your tax classification — individual, sole proprietor, or LLC — so the form is filed correctly. An incorrect classification produces an incorrect 1099.
Nothing is withheld
AuraOne does not withhold taxes from payouts. Filing is your responsibility. This page is general information about how AuraOne reports earnings, not tax advice; a tax professional can advise on your situation.
Retention
Payout and tax records are retained for the period the applicable law requires, including after an account is deleted. See account and data deletion.
