Why verification is required
Stripe Identity confirms you are who you say you are. AuraOne uses it to prevent fraud and to meet know-your-customer obligations that apply to paid contributor work.
What Stripe stores and what AuraOne receives
Stripe stores the photo of your ID and your selfie. AuraOne receives a yes-or-no verification result plus the name and date of birth read from the ID. AuraOne never receives the images.
Because AuraOne does not hold the images, a re-check has to go through Stripe again rather than being resolved from anything stored on our side.
Timing and retries
Verification usually completes in under a minute. You can retry up to five times. If all attempts fail, contact support rather than creating a second account, because a duplicate account is treated as a fraud signal.
