Why verification is required
Stripe Identity confirms you are who you say you are. AuraOne uses it to prevent fraud and to meet know-your-customer obligations that apply to paid contributor work.
What Stripe stores and what AuraOne receives
Stripe stores the photo of your ID and your selfie. AuraOne receives the verification status and, if a check fails, the reason Stripe gives. AuraOne never receives the images.
Because AuraOne does not hold the images, a re-check has to go through Stripe again rather than being resolved from anything stored on our side.
Timing and retries
Verification usually completes in under a minute. If a check fails, the app shows the reason and lets you start a new check. If it keeps failing, contact support rather than creating a second account, because a duplicate account is treated as a fraud signal.
